Privacy Policy

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Here you can find out which data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have.

1. Responsible Body

SwissImmoMap, Househelper, Kalchbühlstrasse 159, 8038 Zurich, Switzerland
Email: info@swissimmomap.ch

2. Website Visit

When you access our website, technically necessary data is processed, in particular the IP address, date and time, page accessed, referrer, and browser and device information (server log data). We require this data for the secure and stable operation of the website. Our website is hosted by Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.), which processes this data on our behalf. The servers are located in Frankfurt (Germany), and backup copies are stored in France – both states with a level of data protection recognized as adequate by the Federal Council.

3. Cookies

We currently only use technically necessary cookies, for example for login, session management, and form security. We do not currently use any analysis or marketing cookies. Should this change, we will inform you in advance and – where necessary – obtain your consent. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time; however, individual functions (e.g., login) may then no longer work.

4. Google Maps Mapping Service

We use Google Maps from Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC (USA) for map display. When a map is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to Google; processing in the USA is possible. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Further information: Google Privacy Policy.

5. User Account, Company Profiles, and Profile Claiming

When you create an account, register a company, or claim an existing profile, we process the data you provide (e.g., name, email address, company details). When claiming a profile, we also ask for your function in the company, a business email address, and optionally, proof of identity. We use this information exclusively to verify your authorization and delete proof of identity as soon as the verification is complete and there is no obligation to retain it. Please do not upload identity documents.

6. Company Data from Public Sources

Basic profiles may be based on publicly accessible official sources, such as the commercial register. If a profile concerns a natural person (e.g., a sole proprietorship), you can object to the publication or request a correction. Details can be found under Data Sources and Correction & Removal.

7. Contacting Us

If you write to us by email or via the contact form, we process your details to answer your inquiry.

8. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell personal data. We only pass data on to service providers who support us in operating the website (hosting, email, map service), or if we are legally obliged to do so. Information in published company profiles is visible to all visitors.

9. Retention

We only retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the stated purposes or as long as legal retention obligations exist.

10. Your Rights

Under the FADP, you specifically have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, as well as the right to the release or transfer of your data, and you can object to processing. To do so, please contact info@swissimmomap.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

11. Visitors from the EU/EEA

Insofar as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is applicable, we base the processing on the fulfillment of a contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR), our legitimate interests in the secure operation and further development of the directory (lit. f), or your consent (lit. a). You are entitled to the rights under Art. 15–21 GDPR as well as a right of appeal to a supervisory authority.

12. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and restricted access rights.

13. Changes

We may adapt this privacy policy. The version currently published on this page applies.
