Data Sources
Transparency is a fundamental principle of SwissImmoMap. Here we explain where the information in the directory originates from.
Currently Used Sources
- Information provided by companies: Entries that companies create themselves or update after taking over a profile.
- Map display: Google Maps (map display and address search).
Planned Sources
We plan to create basic profiles based on open official data, particularly from the Central Business Name Index (Zefix) of the Commercial Register. We only use such data when the terms of use of the respective source permit it, and we then cite the source in each affected profile.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not adopt any content, reviews, or photos from other real estate portals or from Google.
- We do not publish any fabricated reviews, statistics, or company information.
Labeling in the Profile
Each profile shows in the “Data Source” field whether the information comes from an official source, was entered by the company, or was confirmed by the company.
Found an Error?
Report incorrect information via “Report an error” in the profile or via Correction & Removal.
Source Citations
- Company name, registered office, and Business Identification Number (UID): Commercial Register, Central Business Name Index Zefix (Federal Office for the Commercial Register) or opendata.swiss.
- Coordinates, municipalities, and zip codes: © Data: swisstopo – official addresses and Official Gazetteer of Municipalities.
- Cantonal borders of the homepage map: Natural Earth (public domain).
- Contact details and services: Public information on company websites, summarized by SwissImmoMap in its own words.
